Key Issues from Climate COPs and the Scuola’s Engagement
The EIHRSCaD Jean Monnet Chair, together with the Interdisciplinary Centre on Sustainability and Climate and the Institute of Management of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, co-organised on 17 February 2025 an event in Pisa on global climate action. The event examined the current state of international negotiations on climate change mitigation, adaptation and loss and damage, and explored possible ways to reform the process.
EIRSCaD Intensive Course – 1st Edition
The 1st Edition of the EIHRSCaD Intensive Course took place in Pisa on 8-12 July 2024. Participants from various backgrounds (students, practitioners, professionals) took part with enthusiasm to the 5-day course, sharing their views and experiences. The second edition of the course will take place in 2025.
Seminar “Il processo di pace in Colombia nel quadro della giustizia internazionale” (The Colombian peace process within the framework of international justice), 14th December 2023.
Prof. Jairo Agudelo Taborda (Universidad del Norte, Colombia) delivered a seminar, with the support of EIHRSCaD, on the most relevant legal and political aspects of the Colombian peace process, within the framework of international and transitional justice.
Seminar “The Immunity of State Officials from Foreign Criminal Jurisdictions: Where do Things Stand?”, Pisa 12 December 2023
Prof. Roger O’Keefe (Bocconi University), delivered a seminar, supported by EIHRSCaD, on the topical issue of immunity of state officials from foreign criminal jurisdictions, discussing in particular the ILC’s work, current state practice and future prospects on the matter.
